Third Church facilities are dedicated first to the needs of its members and friends, but these needs also include participation in the greater life of the community of the East End of Pittsburgh. Accordingly, many “outside” groups use our facilities for their programs: the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council maintains a regional office here and conducts many tutoring programs at the church; The Kentucky Avenue School is an independent Pre-K through 8th grade school on the ground floor of the church; twelve-step groups meet at the church Monday through Thursday nights; and other groups use available space on a regular or occasional basis. Groups interested in the availability of our facilities should check with the Church Office.

Weddings are normally conducted for members and children (and grandchildren) of members, but under some circumstances, non-members may request to have their weddings performed in our Sanctuary or Chapel. We have prepared a brochure explaining our policies and answering most of the frequently asked questions. Please call the Church Office to request a copy.
