A new community service from Third Presbyterian Church
Third Church is responding to the urgent community need for employment assistance through a program that provides customized services on a face-to-face basis
Career Focus is a FREE service that provides in-depth counseling, personal marketing materials and training for:
- Recent graduates
- Unemployed managerial, technical and professional workers
- Employed professionals looking for new jobs
- Older workers and semi-retirees
Fundamentals
- Career Focus is designed for people with a BS/BA degree or higher. We reserve the right to select participants based on our assessment of whether the service will benefit their individual needs.
- Career Focus is open to clients of any — or no — religious conviction. With a view to making all participants feel welcome, the program specifically avoids religious references at all stages.
- While there is no cost to Career Focus, participants are urged to support the program if they experience what they consider a successful outcome, so that we can continue to provide services to others.
- The program does not search for specific employers or jobs, and does not make use of the Third Presbyterian Church congregation as a referral network. Clients are served under a rule of complete confidentiality.
- Clients must be able to attend meetings during regular business hours.
