Third Church has a traditional Sunday School for children of all ages. It meets after “Time for Children” in our 11:00 a.m. worship service during the September - May season. The Lenten Series has an educational activity for children and our Vacation Bible School in late June explores Biblically-based themes relevant for children (and their elders!).
Educational opportunities for adults include the Sunday Adult Forum, which has presentations and discussions on topics of current interest to the faith community, and which meets downstairs in the Lounge after a coffee and donut fellowship time about 9:45 a.m. The Good Book Study takes place the second and fourth Tuesday nights in the Social Hall at 6:30 p.m.; participants are encouraged to bring something to eat, drinks and dessert is provided. The Good Book Study typically goes through a book of the Bible in some detail; it’s led by Rev. Torbert and includes a substantial time for discussion of the meaning and application of the Biblical text. The Lenten Series in the Winter has a substantial educational element and the Presbyterian Women (see their page) has a monthly Bible Study on third Tuesday mornings.
